#GoodNews #ShirleyOaks Abuse Survivors get compensation from #Lambeth #CSA @UKHomeOffice @MetPoliceUK @IICSA_media

It’s true and real and the mainstream media report it:

  1. BBC: Shirley Oaks ex-residents to get ‘abuse’ payouts
  2. Evening Standard: Revealed: London Council to pay tens of millions to child abuse scandal victims
  3. Daily Mail: Shirley Oaks was infiltrated by paedophiles from the 1950s until its closure in 1983… no wonder the children called this place ‘Hell’s

The multi-media report is on Shirley Oaks Survivors Association:

“All I want is justice, and all I get is cover-up after cover-up after cover-up.

It’s organised paedophilia.”

On Twitter look for #Lambeth, #ShirleyOaks, #CSA

Whistleblowers say:

They children were worse off in the Home than with their biological parents.

A colleague working on adoption there was a disclosure about sexual abuse of a very young child.

The Police was involved…

At the heart of this story is one fundamental issue: the uneasy relationship between the Police and those in power.

The campaign video is very moving and ends with:

For all the children you exposed
we turn memories into a single rose.
Red and vibrant, finally able to flower
a sea of Shirley Roses, growing larger by the hour.

And now we make our final claim:
to bury the lies, to turn the tides.
To lift our heads and reclaim the name.
Shirley Children no longer live in shame.

If only the perpetrators knew and FELT what they do, did and have done to others!!!…

Despite the fact that the cover-up still continues today,
it will not continue tomorrow,
if we all stand together.

Labour MP Chuka Umunna, who sits on the Home Affairs Select Committee and whose Streatham constituency falls within Lambeth, said it was a “sad indictment” the SOSA did not have confidence in the inquiry and “felt their only choice was to withdraw from that investigation and publish their own report”.

In a private meeting, I submitted a big bundle to the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse [IICSA].

But do I have to ‘do it alone’, like the Shirley Oaks Abuse Survivors?
